Regional Coordinator - Tataouine


Reporting to:                Department Manager

Contract:                        12 months (renewable)

Working Hours:            40 hours / week

Location:                       Tataouine

ABOUT US:

I WATCH is a Tunisian watchdog organisation created after the revolution in 2011. I WATCH works mainly on two axes: transparency and corruption. I WATCH has been the official chapter of Transparency International in Tunisia since September 2019. I WATCH is made up of like-minded young professionals and motivated volunteers who, through their innovative work, are determined to tackle the problem of corruption and lack of transparency in both public and private sectors.

ROLE SUMMARY:

The regional coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Implementing the different activities in the region.
  • Supporting and providing technical support for the different stakeholders
  • Elaborating of the regional action plan, supporting Tunis office in terms of planning, training, preparing, logistics, and reporting for the activities in the region.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contribute to the elaboration of a methodology and an intervention strategy for the regional office, particularly with regard to the activities of the concerned region (facilitation of workshops, coordination and activities with stakeholders
  • Participate in coordination meetings with partners and stakeholder
  • Guarantee the reporting and archiving of all documentation in relation to IWATCH projects and the office (physical and digital archive
  • Coordinate the implementation of the various activities in relation with the IWATCH projects, in collaboration with the staff members
  • Maintain a database of information related to stakeholders in the regio
  • Insure reporting tasks regarding the Regions department: Develop reports (activity, narrative, etc.
  • Support for office accounting (drafting of monthly cash journals, recovery of supporting documents, archiving of accounting documents)
  • Assist in identifying regional beneficiaries
  • Developing and elaborating an action plan for the office in the region.

This job description is not incorporated into the employment contract. It is intended as a guide and should not be viewed as an inflexible specification as it may be varied from time to time in the light of strategic developments following discussions with the post holder. The post holder will be expected to work to agreed objectives, which should facilitate the achievements of the key responsibilities in accordance with the Performance Review process.


PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • University degree in Social Sciences, International relations, NGO management, management, business administration or any other related fiel
  • From 0 to 2 years of relevant experience working with local and/or international NGO
  • Strong presentation, writing and management skill
  • Field based experience working with local CSO’s/public institutes in the regio
  • Working flexible hours to engage partners in multiple region
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, and ability to maintain strong relationship
  • Ability to travel across the countr
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English. Good command of both Arabic and French
  • Commitment to I WATCH’s values and ways of working and to I WATCH’s objectives to promote transparency and anticorruption
