Logistics officer


Reporting to:                Support Chief of Department

Contract:                        12 months (renewable)

Working Hours:            40 / week

Location:                       Tunis

ABOUT US:

I WATCH is a Tunisian watchdog organisation created after the revolution in 2011. I WATCH works mainly on two axes: transparency and corruption. I WATCH has been the official chapter of Transparency International in Tunisia since September 2019. I WATCH is made up of like-minded young professionals and motivated volunteers who, through their innovative work, are determined to tackle the problem of corruption and lack of transparency in both public and private sectors.

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Logistics officer will be based in Tunis office with frequent travel across the country. He/ She will manage the projects’ administration and logistics in full compliance with and adherence to I WATCH procedures, national laws and donors requirements

 

 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive and forward communications to different staff and departments
  • Provide assistance to staff, managers, and senior-level officers as needed
  • Work with the finance department to process invoices, make payments, and track receipts 
  • Ensure conference rooms and other meeting spaces are prepared prior to use
  • Be responsible for booking accommodation and venues for the organisations activities 
  • Prepare all logistics needs prior to all travels/activities 
  • Manage inventory and produce periodic inventory reports.
  • Ensure the management, the availability and maintenance of resources. 
  • Manage the supply chains of our central office, 8 regional offices and the Radio office. 
  • Manage the availability of our cars and VAN. 


PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Relevant degree in office administration or logistics is preferred
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in similar position
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and duties simultaneously
  • Strong organizational and management skills
  • Comfort using office tools (Word / Excel) 
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, and ability to maintain strong relationships
  • Ability to travel across the country
  • Good working knowledge on procedures, systems, and practices in office administration
  • Excellent command of written and spoken Arabic. Fair command of both English and French.
